I am a warm and caring therapeutic
counsellor, an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and
Psychotherapy (BACP).
I offer a supportive and
non-judgmental environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and the
challenges you are facing in a confidential space.
I will work collaboratively
with you to support your mental and emotional health and to restore balance and
maintain your overall wellbeing.
Here are some of
the ways I can help:
Emotional Support:
I provide a safe
space where you can talk about life experiences, concerns and problems that are
causing you distress or unhappiness. A place where you can express your
thoughts and be heard, allowing you to release bottled-up emotions and reducing
stress which promotes emotional freedom and wellbeing.
Developing
healthy coping strategies:
To replace false friends
such as alcohol, drugs, or substance misuse. Learning to manage stress and
anxiety in day-to-day life and build resilience.
Identifying
negative thought patterns and beliefs:
Together we can explore and
challenge negative self-talk and criticism and replace it with healthier more
realistic perspectives which promotes self-esteem and improved
confidence.
Self-reflection
& self-awareness:
Working to gain a deeper
understanding of who you are and who you want to be.
Discovering patterns of
behaviour or beliefs that are holding you back (ever get stuck in the same
relationship just with different people)?
Developing self-awareness
will help you to identify your triggers and underlying issues giving you the
clarity to make different decisions for a more positive future.
Personal growth:
Self-exploration helps you
to achieve your goals, whether its lifestyle changes, career aspirations or
happier relationships I will support you throughout the process.
Building healthier
relationships:
With partners, family,
friends or work colleagues. Our relationships are important, they can be the
bedrock of our lives, yet unfulfilling relationships
can be the root of much unhappiness.
I can help you explore
communications styles, conflict resolution, repair attempts and boundary
setting, promoting better connections with the others in your life.
